This painting was inspired by the beautiful landscape in Placitas. Placitas is a suburb of Albuquerque located just North of the city in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. The sparsely populated area has stunning scenery ranging from arid desert to rugged foothills as you ascend towards the mountains.
